Your account
Signing in
Lyric Genie signs in with Google or Apple. There is no password to remember, and signing in is what makes syncing work.
Lyric Genie has two ways in: Continue with Google and Continue with Apple. That is the whole list.
There is no email and password option, and no separate account to create. You pick one of the two and you are in.
Why it matters#
Signing in is what makes your work sync. Your songs, recordings, concepts and projects live with your account, so they appear on any device you sign in on, and they survive reinstalling the app.
If you are not signed in, you are not syncing. That is the single sentence worth remembering.
Use the same one every time#
Google and Apple are separate accounts as far as Lyric Genie is concerned. If you signed in with Google the first time and later tap Continue with Apple, you get a new, empty account rather than your songs.
If your library looks empty on a device you have used before, that is almost always the reason. Sign out and back in with the other one.
When it will not work#
Sign-in problems show a message saying what went wrong. The usual causes are:
- No network. Both methods have to reach their provider.
- The sheet was dismissed before it finished. Tapping outside the Google or Apple panel cancels it.
If a message mentions the build being configured incorrectly, that is not something you can fix from your side. It is worth an email.
Signing out#
Sign Out is at the bottom of Settings and asks before it does anything.
Signing out does not delete anything. Your work stays on your account and comes back when you sign in again. That is different from deleting your account, which does not.
