Plan limits
What the free plan allows and what Pro raises it to.

Every number on this page is generated from the app's own configuration when these docs are built, so it matches what the app actually enforces.
Recording and audio#
The web app uses the same plans and the same numbers, because it is the same account. Settings, then Usage & Stats, shows your usage, with separate meters for AI calls and quick AI calls. Pro can be bought in either app. See Plans and Pro.

The per item cap applies to recording and to importing equally. A file you import cannot be longer than a recording you could have made.
Writing tools#

Lighter requests are metered separately and more generously: 50 on free, 20,000 per month on Pro. These quick calls are what the automatic features use: in-line suggestions and the rhyme sheet's AI picks. That is why they do not eat your main allowance.
On the free plan, the automatic features stop when the quick calls run out. They never spend the AI calls you are keeping for the tools you choose. On Pro, once the quick pool is used up for the month, they carry on drawing from the main one.
Genie chat has its own allowance on Pro, 1,000 messages a month. On the free plan each message uses one of your AI calls.
When the web app retries a request on its own, such as Wish Workshop asking again after a reply that did not fit, or a syllable recount, the retry is not counted.
Rhyme lookups#

Collaboration#

When a song has 8, inviting someone new means taking back an open invite or removing a writer first. See Inviting a collaborator.
A session ends for each person after 5 hours in it, with a warning in the last 10 minutes. You can rejoin straight away. See Sessions.
Original files#
On Pro, imported audio is also kept as the file you uploaded. Each one can be up to 250 MB, with 10 GB in total. See Plans and Pro.
What happens at a limit#
Limits announce themselves. Recording past the length cap stops the take and says so. Importing an over length file is refused with the file's length in the message. Running out of lookups tells you when they reset.
Nothing is deleted when you hit a limit, and nothing fails silently.
